Christian Knaebel founded Global Media Consult in 2005 after he already successfully started distribution and business development consulting as a freelance resource in 2001. He brings almost two decades of management and industry experience (with NBC, CNBC, Liberty Media, Al Jazeera and others) to the business and has a solid and strong background in business development, marketing and sales roles from his previous international corporate career with General Electric. He held senior management roles as an interim manager with both TV stations and platform operators. In many aspects he is also the
creative mind and market development expert at Global Media Consult and he has managed to put Global Media Consult at the forefront of international consulting agencies in this industry field. |

Véronique Segard started her career in international distribution in 1993 at MCM International. She then worked for Euronews as Head of Distribution for 6 years.- Later she was engaged as a consultant for Al Jazeera International and other clients. With over 16 years of experience in the industry, she gained know-how in negotiating distribution agreements, offsetting-up marketing operations from the scratch, discussing technical as well as legal aspects within contracts with operators from around the world, mainly within European countries, Canada, Africa and French overseas territories. She has worked on airline deals, supervised hotel distribution activity and has intensively followed all new media developments. Véronique Segard also supported different deals, leading to signature in sectors such as ADSL / broadband operators, mobile
telephony and DTT.

Heiko Scherer brings more than fifteen years of experience in television, marketing and business development to the team of Global Media Consult. He has a comprehensive understanding of pay tv platforms after having held positions at leading German cable operators Kabel Deutschland and UnityMedia. He successfully launched several pay-tv channels and is now working as a business advisor and consultant for Global Media Consult amongst others. |

Torsten Hoffmann gained his management experience at one of Europe’s largest cable TV operators, where he successfully launched a digital pay-TV platform and developed strategies for the internet and telephony business. Prior to the year 2001 he helped to establish one of the first German Web 2.0 companies. He is specialized in marketing and sales and has a wide contact network in the media, TV and internet industries. He studied international business and lived and worked in Germany, the U.S. and Asia.

Jo Spalburg has gained over 20 years of international sales & marketing experience in the hospitality & travel industry, based in 6 different countries on 3 different continents (Europe, the Americas and Southern Africa). He occupied various sales & marketing positions - at headquarters, regional and local level – for a number of international hospitality and travel firms. Working as an independent marketing consultant, both in the UK/Europe and the Caribbean, Jo has taken on various assignments and projects to facilitate business exchanges between Europe and the Americas; in particular the Caribbean region. He acted as a catalyst for many TV, radio and travel related clients, including BBC Worldwide, RAI International, RTPi, TVE and TV5, as well as Reed Business Information
(RBI)and many other European trade publications.
