Meetup to demand Al Jazeera on your TV
Al Jazeera has started to sponsor a meetup initiative that helps to organize the demand for getting Al Jazeera distributed in the USA. The Al Jazeera Meetup Everywhere initiative is an online community of people interested in the channel and current affairs.
While its prime interest is in the discussion of current affairs and topics shown on the channel, the US branch is focussing now on getting a wider distribution footprint for the channel. Currently, the channel is only available in a very small number of cable systems and via internet. If you want to support this cause, too, you should join one of the meetups in your region on February 10, 2011.
